"Personal Development and Future Careers" is a two-year project.
From September 2012 to June 2013 two stages of the project were developed:
- Getting acquainted with the new European economic reality through visits to local companies
- Discovering the local economic heritage of the region.
From September 2013 to June 2014 the third stage of the project will focus on creating a virtual company within each school and manufacturing a piece of handicraft to be advertised and sold to the partners.
Throughout the duration of the project teachers and students are expected to share their experiences and discoveries mainly through extensive use of ICT.
Project Meetings and Teachers' Exchanges are carefully planned to ensure good communication, planning and evaluation of the project and provide each partner school with opportunities to travel and visit eachother. The teachers and students who attend a Project Meeting are the ambassadors of their school. They are expected to spread the results of the meeting amongst the school community and make sure everyone is involved in the project.
Thanks to the partnership, the students and staff of each partner school get an insight into the life and way of thinking of students and teachers from different countries across Europe. It is essential that future generation have an opportunity to realize that they have many things in common but also learn to accept their differences. In that respect, the project should help our students to overcome their prejudices, for the benefit of European culture as well as of each individual's personal development. Hence the title of our project: "Personal Development and Future Careers".
